STEM WILL BE THE FUTURE...
"One of the things that I’ve been focused on as President is how we create an all-hands-on-deck approach to science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM)… We need to make this a priority to train an army of new teachers in these subject areas, and to make sure that all of us as a country are lifting up these subjects for the respect that they deserve."
Barack Obama

The Rise Of The STEM Toy
Written By: Andrew B Raupp
It is a not a new thing that STEM Education is now a hot trend. There is a significant increase in demand in the field of STEM. Surprisingly, the toy industry was already welcoming an increase in STEM-related toys for almost a decade.
STEM Toys Can Help All Students, But Are All STEM Toys Helpful?
One of the biggest trend in STEM Toy industry is subscription services. The idea is simple: Parents pay a flat rate per month, and their children receive a different STEM toy or kit each month. However, it is real hard to tell if the retailers are offering truly educational, engaging STEM toys, or just to earn with the trend of STEM.
What To Look For When Making A Selection
Educational toys can be break down into three main categories when selecting toy for children, they are academic, cognitive thinkingand motor skills.
Academic Toy: a good academic toy should require them to think, interact with and/or manipulate concepts and ideas.
Cognitive Thinking Toy: Puzzles and construction sets are the best example, which require children to think logically. For older kids, advanced level LEGO and Rubik's Cube require children to apply concepts of both grometry andengineering.
Motor Skill Toy: Workbench sets or even simple, well-designed building blocks allow young learners to develop the physical skills they need to move and manipulate objects.
